Now in its 100th year, 21 West Mountain is a three-story building in the heart of Downtown Fayetteville. The building’s rich history holds many stories throughout the last century, including its 36-year span as the Royal Theatre. It was then occupied by JC Penney until 1977. Five years later, the façade underwent extensive restoration and gave way to a multi-level shopping center and an office complex. Since then, the building has gone through a few renovations, and is now home to 12 businesses (including the Chamber on the third floor).
